Hole 7
Here is the over all master plan for the hole:
Here is a comparison of the original hole and the new hole:

The second par 3 on the front played to a similar distance as the first par 3 hole. The original green was surrounded by 3 bunkers, one in the front, left and two in back of the green. A pond in front of the green was a challenge for many players but it only had an impact on pin positions along the right side of the green.

Because the pond angled along the right side the two bunkers to the left were challenging to the timid or careless player.

The back, right pin area poses some interesting decisions. The safe play is to aim at the middle of the green and try to catch the big slope in the green coming off the mound in back that will move the ball into the pin area. Another strategy is to play directly at the pin area, but a careless shot that finds the bunker to the right will make for a very difficult recovery shot.

Pictured to the right is the depressed fairway and bold slope that ascends from it to the green.
As with most of the new greens, there is a tremendous amount of diversity in the pin areas which will pose different challenges each day as the pin position is relocated:

The front, left pin areas will be changed by the bold slope and depressed fairway in front.

The middle of the green is a low swale with plenty of break from all sides.

The front, right pin area is fronted by a steep drop to the pond which wraps around the right side of the pin area.

The back, right pin area is accessed by the big slope to the left, fronted by a knob in the putting surface and bounded on the right by a bunker that is well below the level of the green.

After the initial shaping I added a pin area in the front, right of the green by extending the front of the green to the pond. Additionally, in this area we added a bump in the surface to make the back, right pin area more challenging.
